TRAVEL SERVICE
A thorough travel health service is provided by our team of practice nurses. An excellent NHS travel advice website is also available at www.fitfortravel.scot.nhs.uk which you could look at prior to visiting the nursing team.
In a travel health appointment we cover
Vaccinations required
Antimalarial tablets if required
Detailed travel advice for your specific destination(s)
General travel advice such as sun protection, air travel, first aid kits, travellers diarrhoea to name but a few
How you can help
Please try to allow at least 6 weeks before travel to see the nurse, this will help us to administer all the vaccines required for your travel. For a more complex travel itinerary please allow as much time as possible as further vaccines may need to be ordered and are often in a course of 3 vaccines.
ϖ Please book an appointment at reception where you will need to collect a travel questionnaire to complete and return prior to your appointment so the nurses have as much information as possible.
