HOW DO I...
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
The doctors have 10-minute appointments which are released in advance at 4 weeks, 2 weeks, 2 days and 1 day. It is also possible to request a telephone appointment, if more convenient. Patients wanting to book a same-day appointment will be triaged by one of the doctors. They may deal with your problem over the phone or make you an appointment with the nurse practitioner or a doctor.
The practice has a 0844 telephone number to provide a better service to patients. However if your telephone provider charges more to call a 0844 number you are entitled to ask you to ring us back.
The doctors offer pre-bookable out-of-hours appointments -12 each week before 8.00am and 15 after 6.30pm on a Monday. These are for patients with routine problems who find it difficult to access the surgery in hours. Practice nurse appointments are all pre-bookable.
It is also possible to book appointments online Click Here. If you are doing this for the first time, you will have to register to use the system. Please send an email request to: general.enquiries-b81029@nhs.net
HOW DO I...
OBTAIN A HOME VISIT?
Home visits are made on
medical grounds only, for patients who are housebound or whose condition would
deteriorate by making a journey. In most instances patients can travel, especially
children (it is not harmful to wrap up a child with a fever and bring them to
the surgery). Please help us by coming in whenever possible as we can offer a
much better service to patients at the surgery. The examination facilities and
equipment enable a much more accurate diagnosis to be made.
If you do
need to request a home visit, please telephone 0844 477 8699, if possible before
10.00am.
